Watonga, Oklahoma is located about an hour southwest of Enid, OK. Watonga is the home of Roman Nose State Park. Roman Nose is one of the seven original state parks in OK.

Roman Nose is a park containing many recreational activities to do. The crystal clear lake is stocked year round with rainbow and brown trout for excellent fishing. There are many hiking trails to hike and discover nature and there are three natural springs running through the park, one of which includes a waterfall inside a cave. There are also horseback riding trails and stables to keep the horses in. The park also includes a golf course through the rolling hills, a clean man made swimming pool, and canoes and paddle boats are available to rent. There are RV sites, tent sites, cabins, and a beautiful lodge. Inside the lodge is a restaurant and many different themed rooms, including a "Cronkhite Ranch" room. Roman Nose is the perfect place for a weekend "getaway" close to home.
